Researcher Introduction

Motivation for Becoming a Researcher

I had been fascinated by things that are enduring since childhood, such as fossils or minerals, but found nothing lasts forever. Later on, I learned that the law of nature and its underlying mechanism may be the closest to an eternal existence. So, the idea of becoming a researcher or scientist comes naturally.

Your Greatest Strengths

Novel material discovery and transport measurements.

What Makes Your Research Interesting or Worthwhile

It comes from several aspects. When reading books or papers, I feel happy whenever learned an excellent idea, and admire the author’s clever mind. When doing research myself, any small progress inspires me since it is a small step towards an unknown territory. But I have to admit that the majority of my research time is full of pain and failures. Life is hard, just suffer and live with it.

Other Research That Interests You

Apart from fundamental science, finding practical applications for the materials that I discovered is also interesting. I am still finding an access point.

Interests Other Than Research You Would Like to Pursue

Travel, Cooking, Music, Animation
